To be serious I do notice a lag before the turbo kicks in when I mash the pedal. I’ve read why this happens and tis said that you need to be north of 2000 RPM so that there is enough exhaust pushing the fans to get the immediate turbo boost.
Time to do one of the fun roads
Pikes, 550 from Durango to Montrose.
Can you still run 34 west of Estes Park down to 40 then in to Idaho Springs?
That would be a fun run...
160 over Wolf creek down to Pagosa would be a hoot too.
fwiw parts of 160 are on the old Chisolm trail
My dad worked for the construction company when they cut and built 160 from Wolf Creek down to Az., from the early 40's into the 50's, they lost a bunch of equipment down the side of the mtn. that took them a couple of years to retrieve, some they just left there...
I’ll be back after I Pray for the Sinners on these threads...
Peak to Peak highway from Blackhawk to Estes Park on the east side of the Continental Divide is fun too.
I got in a snark war on a racing forum (that was collecting money for the guy’s 5 yr old kid) by pointing out that Leffler had >$5 million lifetime Nascar winnings and a fraction of that in open wheel AND didn’t have life insurance.
That National Anthem was horrific. Just my opinion.
Boogity, boogity, boogity!!!
hwy 14, fort collins to steamboat is a favorite
5 mill is a lot, but i would want to see what is “cost of doing business’ was, and if he had run into hard financial times. but, i have life insurance enough to pay off the house and any debts i have, with a bit of cushion for kids.
Banana Slug Racing is running:
Kenseth
Edwards
Earnhart jr
Dinger
I missed the 1st caution. I see Gordon to the back. What happened?
The number 51 with Labonte driving spun and Gordon hit him.
Kurt Bush in the 78 spins and hits the wall with the back end. Cartion.
The mother of his kid grew up a mile or so down the street from me. They have an impressive estate, the grandparents are very well off. Even have their own private small dirt oval track in the back acres.
Thanks
Still, a 5 year old boy loses his Daddy..... right before Father’s Day.
Sad.
Totally agree.
Just not sure if the family situation requires fund raising from strangers.
I can see the money going to better use then. We have so much “guilt” that we do stupid things with our disposable income.
10 laps to go...just able to check in now....looks like a great race ...nice crowd... weather better than I thought...jj leading..danica 13th
