The US Army came into my mother`s bar early during the Vietnam War to talk about about a local young man who volunteered. [He used to start big bar brawls with everyone in the bar when he was young]
The Army asked my Mom “What is your statement concerning this man since he gave you as a reference?” My Mom said, Well, he`s good with his fists.” They said “ That`s all we have to know!”
He fought in Vietnam and was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for protecting his men from atop an armored vehicle while firing a machinegun from the hip exposed to enemy fire- killing 28 Vietcong and saving his men.
