I agree but I still would sort of like to have one. It would be OK to keep in a pickup. I would load it with hot loaded .45 Colt and keep a box of 28 gauge birdshot and one of buckshot.

It might be heavy enough to use .454 Casull ammo without too much recoil but I probably would use something less powerful.

A .45 Cold cartridge would just rattle down the barrel of a 28 gauge and fall out. It’s got a 0.55” bore.

I just realized 28 gauge is not the same as .45. What is it?

Is it possibly a .50 caliber? If it is then you could shoot .5oo Smith and Wesson in it. If it is larger than that, I would not want it.
