In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of Word for the Day.
Chary
Adjective, also: charier, chariest
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

Rise and shine! Obama is out of the country and spending your money....get to WORK!
secret garden will be around today, so you can post your homework to her or to me. Your choice.
Who is not chary about donating to the Tea Party, or other organizations where the government will know your name, after the recent IRS disclosures?
BRW, I was #1, but I have to see the haircutter and manicurist today so I’ll be gone.
Nino was dead on. Not that that was a hard one to call.

For your amusement before I leave for the morning!
Radio-controlled cow herder.
I am chary of compliments for the current administration.
Maybe they got her meds adjusted.
LOL, I chose not to join my local tea party so I didn’t have that problem. A++
A++ Really?
Me too, but I’d really like to donate to True the Vote or Veritas. Who thinks that might trigger an audit?
Yes, you are first in the door today.
Chary? To praise them is crazy. A++
Well, I’ve been waiting since 6 AM. Actually, that is how I met my husband — waiting at the door until the teachers decided to unlock it. I used to arrive early because I was the daughter of a teacher. My husband arrived early because he wanted a specific spot in front of the school to park his Model A. We used to argue all the time, which is great preparation for marriage.
All patriots need to be chary
Of promises made by King Barry
Equivocation and lie
Are the means to get by
For this sneaky, corrupt adversary
Model A? Was it a long time ago or an old car?
Interesting in that it seems to be the opposite of “charitable”. It would be something to write Language Maven William Safire about, were he still with us.
My wife doesn’t normally like hot dogs, but she will eat one if it’s cooked on the grill and all char-y.
