Taylor Swift called a 'proud whore' by Westboro Baptist Church, concert targeted

The Westboro Baptist Church has spread its special brand of hate so many places, Taylor Swift should genuinely be surprised that it's taken the group of protestors so long to get to her. So what have they found at fault with the 23-year-old singer? Her serial dating, of course.

"@TaylorSwift13 works her 'girl next door' country-singer shtick, while hopping from one young man to the next and strutting across the world stage like a proud whore," the Westboro Baptist Church writes. "She is wildly popularly, especially among young ladies, with over 29M followers on Twitter, and thus a giant platform."

The outcry continues, "One simple tweet from her -- 'Stop fornicating ladies, and obey God' -- would rock the house. But it would cost her millions she makes with her sin-coddling songs. Taylor Swift uses the talent God gave her to warble about fornication, instead of warning her fellow man of the coming destruction."

Why are you giving these people publicity?

Taylor Swift would consider that flattery.

Watching these people is like watching a train wreck, just can’t take your eyes off it.

The whole goal of the Westboro Baptist “Church” is to provoke people into attacking them in some way.

Then the “Church” will sue for damages. What is needed here is for someone to in turn sue them.

Of course they do. They are more than happy to associate these retards with Conservatives and the right in general. They point these idiots out to moderates and insinuate that if you vote for Republicans, this will be the result from coast to coast.

Don’t like the church but can’t disagree with them on this issue. The only thing they left out is she can’t sing worth a damn.

Miss Swift is a beautiful, young woman with a lot of drive and P.T. Barnum showmanship. But she is an awful songwriter and a worse singer who has done damage to the Country music brand. [Take two Possums & a George Strait, and call me in the morning.] Nonetheless, she doesn't deserve the scorn of these nutjobs.

I wouldn’t worry about Westboro. The group is a cult headed by a man who is totally crazy. His arrogance is second only to his hatred of people. And I don’t think it will be too long until some horrible thing involving the suicide in the group comes up.

Poor Miss Swift.

Just a week or so ago, I saw an article in the Washington Post about how some clueless college student has created a Facebook page for the purpose of harassing Miss Swift for espousing traditional values. (Of course, this being the Post, they were glorifying the college student and presented the harassment of Miss Swift as a *good* thing.)

Being attention whores themselves, the Westboro Baptist Church would certainly be an expert on whores.

I hope Taylor steps forward and proudly proclaims her virginity, her heart felt belief to save herself for a life long marriage, and throw it back at those hypocrites.

Westboro is sounding more and more like PETA. Making increasingly outrageous claims and attaching themselves to things that are irrelevant to them except that they can gain publicity.

Just what I was thinking ... maybe she should sue them for libel, slander, and defamation of character, as a start.

When are the media ever going to notice that Phelps not only isn't Baptist, he doesn't even call himself Christian?

What does Fred Phelps actually believe? It is, somehow, even weirder than you expected (LINK)

In fact, it appears that Westboro has created not just an incredibly vulgar and non-Christlike approach to homosexuality, but that it's working on a new religion altogether, complete with new scriptures.

Members of WBC generally avoid the name "Christian" when referring to themselves, preferring the mysterious term "Tachmonite."

The Tachmonites believe Phelps is "the last prophet," with the power to determine who will be damned and who will be saved. They themselves, as followers of Phelps, also have the power to condemn souls to hell. Most people are destined for hell, but "Good Samaritans" who help the Tachmonites (for example, police officers who prevent counter-protesters from assaulting them) may be offered an indeterminate "reward" for their good conduct.

They've written their own scriptures, which are divided into two categories: "delectable epics" and "letters to heretics." The "delectable epics" (the term is the group's) are based loosely on Acts in the New Testament. The epics detail the Tachmonites' various protests against gays, President Bush, Elton John concerts, and the military and portray the Tachmonites alternately as invincible "super heroes" and defenseless victims of brutal rage. Some of the epics are in prose, and some in poetry.

And there's more (at the link)

Not Samsonite?
