Anecdotal Personal Story Alert!
A very proper British widow I know (Friends of my Mom) and her adult daughter love to travel together. They are seasoned travelers and have been to many exotic places. They know how to book their own travel accommodations and use the Internet wisely.
They made arrangements mapping out a Caribbean Vacation that included several days in Key West at a very Nice Hotel. Upon arriving, they went straight up to their rooms and unpacked, and went to sleep.
The next morning, they went out onto the poolside balcony and were greeted by a swimming pool FULL of naked men, who were “sporting about” as she put it, and were so horrified that they demanded their money back and re-booking in another “family friendly” hotel.
The mistake was NOT hers. The website had not had any (at least blatant...maybe there were secret code words?)indication that this was a homosexual hotel.
From what I understand, Disney-world does not announce “Gay Week” in advance either, so many families are stunned when they arrive in Orlando with their children, and are confronted with unseemly behavior at the beloved theme park.
I have heard from People in Orlando that “Gay Week” is the busiest week of the year for “Orlando’s Holy Land Experience” as families seek an alternative.
I enjoyed OHLE, but let’s face it, it isn’t Disneyland!

I don’t have to wonder what “sporting about” means, I’ve been to “zombie time”. Yes it’s best to know in advance and avoid. The sight of an all male orgy would make me of great ill.
