I almost adopted a new Golden Retriever this weekend, even though I'm not really ready and my husband said no. But somebody else stepped forward, and Red Shiloh went to another family.

Wasn't he pretty? He lost his home because of a foreclosure, one of the little mentioned results of this crummy economy.

He is a fine looking dog. I noticed two one year old Shih Tzus available at Nashville’s shelter this weekend. The maintenance is probably what made someone give them up. I was listening to Cyndi Lauper’s Money Changes Everything this morning and it does, unfortunately.
