I tried to learn how to play a bass once,

I took up fly fishing but by the time you bait the hooks with ‘crap’ the thrill is gone and it takes about a 100,000 flys to have enough to make lunch.
Big waste of time especially if you individually roll them in bread crumbs prior ‘fryin up a batch’.
