What she says is actually true: it's why there's no money in heaven and the streets are paved with gold. (First gold is seen as a divine-metal, as it doesn't rust/corrode; second, there's going to be no need for money, so gold could be useless in that sense good for nothing but to be thrown outside and trod upon by men so to speak.)

That said though, there's no way that such a system will work [globally] without Jesus-as-King ruling over all the nations and all the people.

As long as human life goes on, even if everyone were converted to Christ, money will still have its basic utility as “medium of exchange” and “store of value.” A price system conveys necessary information, and an efficient price system requires a unit of measure for comparison.
