Me and some buddies made up a “road trip” song, adding verses every trip.
One verse was
The only thing left me
in this life of mine
Was a dear lady named mother -
who treated me fine
But late one night
in her old pickup truck
she got run off the road
by a dirty-old drunk.
The other verses include cowboy hats, Marlboro’s trains, moonshine, prison, etc.
