My daughter needs to have braces. So, thank God she’s an only child!

We do have some coverage on our dental, but we’re still looking at a nice chunk of change.

I have 3 kids and they all needed braces. After I finally paid off my third one’s bill, I gave the orthodontist a big smile. He said, “Hey, let me look at your teeth.” Bottom line, in my early 40s I wore braces for two years. Hurt like hell. Old teeth are more set in their ways. Cost a bunch, as well.

Mine had braces in middle school too. I blame their father, who had them all through high school.
