- Late June: " Elderly residents of a Jewish nursing home are deported to the Theresienstadt, Czechoslovakia, camp/ghetto.
- July: "In an American radio broadcast, Jewish Congressman Emanuel Celler excoriates the U.S. government for its continuing silence on Nazi treatment of European Jews.
- "The American Women's International League for Peace and Freedom estimates that millions of Jews have already been murdered by the Germans in Poland, and that the American government and people share in the guilt for these atrocities because they are complacent cowards covered 'with a thick layer of prejudice.' "
"These Amsterdam Jews are being rounded up for deportation to Auschwitz in 1943.
Numerous Dutch citizens befriended the 110,000 Jews and 30,000 immigrant Jews residing in Holland.
However, many Dutch in the government and on the police force collaborated with the Germans.
The last roundup, which netted 5,000 Jews, took place in September 1943."
