I was on Chicago's West side, Jackson Blvd and Kostner. My parents owned a big apartment building and we were the last whites in the neighborhood. My father was up on our building's roof soaking it down with water as there were fires all around us during the MLK riots. Was that 67?

I remember the 68 Democratic Convention and police clubbing the students over the head in Grant Park. Meanwhile Daley had all the Black gang leaders and trouble makers rounded up and sent on a Caribbean Cruise. You never saw one Black rioting during those riots.

Cities burning are not fun.

MLK was killed April. 1968.

Wow, the leaders being sent on a cruise is interesting. It makes sense. You’re right, The Chicago 7 were all white.

1968 was a tough year. Tet Offensive in Vietnam, RFK, MLK killed, USS Pueblo, Russia clamping down in Europe, etc.
