The Obama administration is coming under increased pressure from politicians and the medical establishment to stop force feeding hunger-striking inmates at Guantanamo Bay. The military calls it a “lifesaving procedure.” The UN has called it “torture” and a commentary in the New England Journal of Medicine called it “aggravated assault.”
Offer the food. Let them eat or not eat, as they choose. Document the offer and response on video. Rinse and repeat.

This grabs me as the best way to close Guantanamo.
Put some nice food in front of them. Leave it.
If they eat, fine.

Exactly. Force feeding them could easily be seen as cruel and inhumane. I would think that it would be hard to starve to death especially if food and water were readily available. If they are that determined let them starve. However, give them an unceremonious burial at sea and let their comrades know that they will just end up as shark bait.
Make them eat pork.

There's a simple solution to this dilemma..one where *everyone* wins.Behead them.It's an act that the prisoners understand and support,they get to meet their "virgins" and civilized nations are ridded of a hundred or so threats of another WTC,London Tube bombing,Madrid train bombing,Bali bombing,Mumbai bombing,Toronto train bombing conspiracy and Boston Marathon bombing.
That is their choice. Leave them be.
I don't mean to sound like a hard a$$, but I do not care if these sub human vermin at Gitmo, commit suicide. The world will never miss them. There, how's that?

Might I suggest that they compost the bodies, mix with pig dung, and use that to fertilize the Gitmo prison farm's garbanza beans for the inmates' hummus?
I say let them starve themselves to death and the world will be a better place.

I agree. After all, it's their "choice" whether to eat or not. Give them food and walk away. If they die from their own choice, so be it.

Yea but the only difference between the IRA and these goons is the IRA does not have 72 virgins to look forward to in the after life. These goons do. If we keep them alive and they die of natural causes no virgins!
