Never charged for checks bag..really?

Ive been doing ALOT of flying of late for work
The rule is domestic $25 per check bag (but not jet blue)..international is first check bag is free

The problem is they do lose check bag had on lost twice bween connection flights ..and you do not get access to check bag on long layover or delays...had a connecting flight delayed 15 hours..got put up in hotel but no access to bag..so from 10 am fri went I left to airport till at my final hotel was 36 hours in same clothes

I check one large bag..and always have one small carryon

not to mention the theft, and risk of smugglers using innocent bags.

I always have an pair of clean undies and socks in my carry-on, as well as toothbrush and medicines.

The other thing about checked baggage is the damn TSA agents security checking it or the baggage handlers are prone to stealing anything valuable they find. This has been documented numerous times. I've had TSA agents steal things from me, including my very first smart phone, only 24 hours after buying it (I purchased it FOR the trip).

These people need to go to jail for a long time; just not fired. Imagine if a dusky skinned fellow asked them to PLACE something in a bag... for say, $100,000? I'm sure any real American would do no such thing, but a TSA agent who steals from the public? Well, he's already a criminal....
