Brazilian funk artist Daniel Pellegrine, known as MC Daleste, is dead after being shot in the abdomen Saturday night while performing in the city of Campinas.
Pellegrine was mid-song when a bullet struck him, causing the 20-year-old performer to fall back in a sitting position before others on stage came to his aid. The incident was caught on video and uploaded to YouTube, where it has nearly 4 million views.
...On "Apologia," one of MC Daleste's songs, he raps "killing the police is our goal" and recites a list of weapons over the continuous sound of gunfire.

RIP ... and definitely prayers for those who had to see this ...
Rap by the sword...
Could this be a “demonstration of Russell Simmons’ ‘karmatic invitation’?
Glorify the life of a thug, and this will, and has happened, in the past.
Gee, a live show! -A- single shot! No one claiming to be ‘Batman’, or wearing pseudo-military gear, or loaded up with a few weapons! No smoke bomnbs!
And .......... wait for it ......... no media outcry for gun control, either!
Sowing/Reaping simple!
We can only hope that this type of thing comes to America.....
We can only hope that this type of thing comes to America.....
Suicide by cop?
Putting to use one of those silenced sniper rifles...
THAT is a tough audience!
Perhaps the droning quality of his music?
Uh...what could possibly go wrong when your song features the sound of gunfire?
I don’t see the problem.
Don’t like the music.
Just change the channel.
“Rap” to me, is NOT music, it’s babbling by some poor poet wannabe making stupid statements to someone elses “music”.
One down and thousands to go. Alas, so much to do, so little time.....
Oh, the irony! I’ll bet the first thing they did was call the police.
Hypocrite.
Pardon me, DEAD hypocrite.
I hope this won’t paint the Rap industry in a bad light.
