Does anyone have experience with growing them in TX?

Do you mean "bak choi"? Yes, they are a cool weather plant and should grow well. Make sure you have deep soil, or build a raised bed. Construct a cold frame that you can drape a plastic sheet over if we get a freeze warning. They should do well.

It's a miniature bok choi..only gets 4 to 5 inches tall. seedling to harvest in 30 days.

I buy them sometimes at Tim's Oriental Market on Bandera & Huebner on Thursdays when they get their vegetables in from Houston. They are cute & tasty

Then I saw that you can get the seeds really cheap, so I want to try to grow them. The veggies at Tim's aren't pricey, but the gasoline to get there is.
