Sign him up. He's doing a better job of fielding than the pros getting paid millions. And he's just sitting in a small area.

Absolutely amazing. I seldom go to baseball games, but I'd be VERY HAPPY catching one ball at a baseball game. I'd be ecstatic over two.

I'd be unconscious after four

We caught 2 foul balls at a Yankees game and almost caught a 3rd. If we had caught the 3rd foul, we probably would have been ripped to pieces by the fans who’ve been going to game all their lives and never caught one.

A guy I work with has caught over 20 in his years of going to see the Cardinals.... So many they’re not special anymore. He’s given some away. But I don’t think he’s caught that many in one day.

Fifteen-thousand plus at a home game? The division rival Tigers get at least twice that number attending on average.

He should have walked out of that stadium and bought himself a Powerball ticket.

The Tribe is having a tough time at the gate. In an uncharacteristic display of common sense, they have cut ticket and concession prices. Their real problem is beyond fixing though. The stadium is in Cleveland.

For some reason Indians fans remain gun shy about a team contending at the All Star break. When you've been cursed in all your professional sports as long as we have getting excited about a team feels remarkably like watching the kids having sex in a slasher movie. You just know something bad is going to happen really soon.

I once had the chance to meet with a MLB player who was on a visiting team playing a mid-day game against the Indians (at the old Municipal Stadium).

It was a cloudy, clammy day in the middle of the work week. Fans in attendance couldn’t have exceeded 5 or 6 thousand.

At that time, the vendors wore bright lime green vests.

His comment: “If you could get those guys in the green vests to sit down you would have a crowd.”

I had a chance to see a game at Jacobs field 10-12 years ago. At the time it was nearly new and very nice. How’s it holding up?

I remember a time when Tribe Fan would pack buses and head to Detroit to watch the Indians at their field.

Roles have reversed...

It’s a nice ball park and not that hard to get to. But yes, it is in Cleveland. The Tribe has struggled in recent years so it is hard to get the fan base back. Who knows? If they are still within 2 games 30 days from now, the locals might catch pennant fever.

By the way, I’ve been attending baseball games for more than 40 years, and I go to several every year. Two Fridays ago I was in Great American Ball Park in Cincy, and two days ago I was in Wrigley Field. I’ve never caught a foul ball. Never even been close. Four in one game is amazing.

Last year at Camden Yards, Manny Machado hit his first two career home runs in the same game, and the same fan caught both of them.

Amazing. I’ve been attending MLB games since 1969. I’m willing to bet that I’ve attended well over 1,000 games in those 44 years. Not ONCE have I ever caught a foul ball or a home run ball.

I've got an idea, how about "Ten Cent Beer Night"?
