There are no plans to impose a hosepipe ban despite the heatwave affecting much of the UK, the BBC has been told.
Water UK, which represents all major water companies, said there was no need to panic as reservoir levels were where they should be.
Many parts of the country are looking parched after more than a week of hot weather, and the situation is set to continue for another week.
Meanwhile, commuters have been facing more disruption because of the heat.
Train services in and out of London's Waterloo station are back to normal after severe delays on Monday night caused by a rail which buckled in the heat.

I love the word hosepipe. I even named a dog “Hosepipe” once, although he usually went by “Hoser.” Both names fit him very, very well. ;-)
OMGosh, they’re getting close to 90 degrees F, LOL. Seriously. But that is hot for England.

Yes... didn’t want to admit that that was what I thought of as well.
Hosepipe? I thought that was just a southern word? I guess not.
The current Air Temperature is 86F, The Ground is 98.6F.
Humidity is 56%RH.
No relief in sight til at least the weekend, when it may drop to a chilly 85ish°.
