Why are these things always “tragic”? You mix heroin and alcohol, death is an eventuality.

There were somne drunken kids many years ago who went speeding down a 25 mph road on which I lived. They ran a stop sign and struck a tree eight feet off the ground. How fast must one go to launch a car eight feet into the air with enough speed to kill all occupants? Again, it was called a “tragedy.” Again, I say, drive at some crazy rate of speed, death is an inevitability, not a tragedy. Running over a kid on a big wheel on the way to your self induced death - thatis a tragedy.

Tragedy and inevitablity are not mutually exclusive.

Is the death of those teens a tragic situation for the parents of the teens? The parents weren’t driving, and yet their lives have been blown apart.

The way I see it, he died doing what he loved best, getting high.
