There’s a hilarious video where a guy catches a fish, and a bear runs out of the bushes and steals it from him.
So far, so good, right?
Then the man decides to fight the bear - now we got a “what a dummass” moment, right?
Now... the bear gets up on his hind legs and starts fighting, taekwondo style, and back kicks the man.
Man nutkicks the bear and gets his fish back.

I went to Katmai in May 2010 via float plane.
Some of the bears were in the 800-1000 pound range! You can get within 25 years of them and they won't bother you, provided you let the bears know you are there and not having a fish scent on you.

One bear walked along the top tier and grabbed a salmon that had just jumped.. Up and done in less than 30 seconds. Meanwhile, the young’ns watch and learn from afar, waiting for scraps. Nine bears right now.. Salmon party!

My eyes just popped right out my head! I saw an elder bear standing at the top of the tier, patiently waiting.. More than half an hour.. Smaller salmon were jumping and he ignored them. Finally, a VERY large salmon jumped and he caught it. Then, he walked right by the camera and that salmon was at LEAST three feet long. I once caught a 21 lb. salmon and this one was much bigger.. What a thrill that was to see. I was once a fishing fool. I know my fish. That salmon had to be easily over 20 lbs.

I’ve picked out my favorite bear. The one who stands up top of the tier.. Very patient and discriminating about the size of the salmon he/she catches. Is an older bear that cuts straight to the chase and doesn’t get involved in the lower shelf approach.. No dilly dallying. LOL
