Wayne: What is it in some people that they want to depict the earth (and us along with it) going through hopeless, apocalyptic destruction?
I know that we are headed toward a Biblical apocalypse followed by the creation of a new heaven and new earth, but these scenarios seem to either be: 1) complete destruction, followed by a pristine earth no longer enduring horrible mankind, or, 2) we get a “semi-apocalyptic” destruction of earth and mankind followed by mankind finally getting the “truth” that we are just an evolutionary blip in the context of Mother Nature, so we’d better get in tune with her or we’re toast next time.
