The waitress at the pancake house in VA Beach was trying to get me to try them. She was appalled that the yankees who do try them sweeten them with honey or sugar or syrup.

Which apparently isn’t done.

I tried them once and gagged - just not something I care for at all. But there are some who don’t like white gravy and sausage on biscuits...which is pretty popular in my area.

This “emperor” is as conceited
As those who came before him-
He thinks he is worshipped,
And not that some abhor him

He believes in all his own BS
Every phrase, and every word-
He works himself into a swivet
Before going out to be heard

And if his handlers are nervous
You can’t blame them for that-
The way his numbers are falling,
His rabbit has abandoned the hat...

I walk in here from work, and what do I see but people talking about some really strange stuff-I saw some furries once on that show “Taboo”-aren’t they people with delusions of being animals? I didn’t realize it was a sexual thing, too...

I hate grits, and it isn’t something we eat in this part of Texas-but one of my aunts had a husband from Louisiana who ate the stuff with sausage and eggs-I tasted it once with some butter on it and it had no flavor at all-it reminded me of jicama, or even tofu-things you put in salad to pick up the flavor of the other ingredients. The thought of it with honey or syrup makes my teeth itch...
