“F ‘em. Let ‘em have it, good and hard.”
I agree with you-the bad side of me wants to see the wailing and gnashing of teeth while I howl with glee when the whiners get hit with their first “free” premium bill-and a pink slip, or cut in hours. As Allison McKenzie first said in Peyton Place, “was it GOOD for you?”...

Unkind of me, I know...

Yes. It is the only song i know of that tells the tale of the Exodus.

And from the point of view of the Angel of Death, to boot.

After I heard it a couple of times, I got what it was about, but it took me awhile to figure it was the Angel of Death doing the telling-which added more chill to the song...

Yes, lots of loud music at the games and we have live bands between periods, along with little kids playing hockey or fan games on the ice.

The part that repeats “die by my hand, I creep across the land, killing first born men” has this chant underneath of “die die die...”

You barely notice it on the studio recording.

In concert the crowd does the chant. It’s quite noticeable and, without context, potentially terrifying.

Good fun.

I’ve never been to a Metallica concert-but I can see how the audience chanting “die, die” could be hair-raising to someone not familiar with the song or metal.

I’ve freaked people out, jamming to metal in the truck while at a stoplight, or pulling into a parking lot. Most people just give me a thumbs up, though...

It’s fun. There are plenty of musicians in this town who like sports too. The best moment between periods this year was when Vince Gill played with Alice Cooper. Now, that was something. Two golfers rocking to a packed house.
