Every day I see more notices of U Boats being sunk. The tide has really turned in the Battle of the Atlantic.
I think at this point Doenitz has thrown in the towel; he’s pulled the U-boats out of the North Atlantic. The convoys have sufficient escorts with sonar and hedgehogs, as well as continuous air cover from the “hunter-killer” escort carriers.
Most of the sinkings are unescorted ships sailing individually in the South Atlantic.
