I used to drive a lot. The Sat radio was a godsend. I could listen to music/news/sports, whatever.

It was worth whatever they charged. Now that I am back to normal, perhaps not so much. But when you are driving cross country, it is wonderful.

If I had to live my life on the road, I suppose that would justify the cost of satellite radio. Being in a large metro area, I'm surrounded by more choices of broadcasting / programming than I can shake a stick at.
