On 1 episode the guy brought goggles! They were on an island and he said it was to help him see the fish, but I would always bring a fire starter as #1 and a machete as #2.

I’d simply pick a ship. (Full of water, food, clothes, guns, ammo, women, computers, TVs, InterNet etc.)
