It’s because they have a low black population. EXTREMELY low.
Benton Harbor and Benton Township MI didn’t make it ?
Nothing like coming over a hill before you start down a road leading to it and pondering .... “ I wonder if the national guard has pulled out yet ?”
Pine Island wasn't built yet, and the roads west stopped after University. There was no Sawgrass, just 2-lane Hwy 27. I used to take that the Hollywood Sportatorium, which is also no longer there.

I was thinking the same thing.
I was driving on MLK blvd, Houston on a Friday night a few years ago and got pulled over by a white cop. He pulled me over because I was a white female (he told me that). When I admitted I didn’t know much about the area at the time, b/c I had not lived in Houston long, he told me to get out of there and if I didn’t, he would follow me and find a reason to pull me over and take me to jail, lol. He said you’ll be safer there than here. I got his point and got out. I really appreciated his blunt non pc honesty also.
“I was thinking the same thing.”
That white policeman did you a favor. There are parts of Houston that I would not dare travel in broad daylight with a police escort! MLK Blvd. is one of them! ;-)
The Turnpike can help for getting to west Broward, but be sure to be gassed up, bladdered out and have exact change or the fines will not make it worth it at all.
Oh, or have the Sun Pass(which, forgive me for not wanting the government with a monthly hand in my checking account or pay $10 a month for the privilege of paying tolls up front.
Year, there are no black folks in NYC, Philadelphia, New Jersey, or Boston. Hartford, Worcester, New Haven and Providence are mostly Swedish too.
Can you read?
Do you know the difference between a LOW population and NONE?
Seriously.
I can read, can you think? Do you seriously mean to suggest that the major cities of the northeast have low populations of blacks? Really? Have you ever been in NYC? How about Philadelphia, Boston, Newark, Camden, Hartford, New Haven or Trenton?
Your suggestion would be comical if it didn’t indicate some sort a sever mental malfunction or educational deficit.
