can you have the power turned off? that might flush them out, if it’s hot there.
I thought about that, but then there will be no security lights, etc. for me when I get there. I’ll know better what to do when I get out there on the 20th. I was just wondering what steps to take in the mean time.

The interesting thing is is that she has stel casement windows. I thought those were really secure, but the police say that they can be jiggled open after they get old. That’s how they got in — jiggled a locked window open in the back of the house.
There was at least one woman involved. They got caught because 2 thieves got into an argument and when the police came to break it up, they ratted each other out. So, we don’t know how many sets of thieves there were. Or, if the thieves pawning my mother’s possessions were the same people squatting in her house.
We know they made coffee in her kitchen and they turned on the AC.
