Due to the ‘Stand Your Ground’ lawfact that Martin was on top of Zimmerman pounding his head against the sidewalk, Zimmerman was acquitted on grounds of self defense.
I wonder just how many people who were having the snot beat out of them would not have shot their assailant if they had a gun? Then why condemn Zimmerman for protecting himself?
