Because she’s another idiot loser in a dying society where honor, love, and morality whither daily under the assault of the inane and the quest for some fairy dust sprinkled utopian self awareness bullshit supercedes the miracle RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER FACE!

The shock turned into depression, as she began to mourn what she had lost. “I was a daddy’s girl. I had a great childhood, and was the apple of my non-biological dad’s eye. [I] adored my dad,” said Blessing, a homeschooling mother of five, who lives in Tennessee.

So I guess insanity runs in the family.

I was recently pal bearer to one of the finest men that I have ever known. He never had children of his own but adored his step children. At the funeral his step daughter made this statement; “I regard him as my “step” father in only this way: “He stepped up, he stepped in, and he stepped over anything that stopped him from being a great father.”

I have had SO MANY people say that their loved ones went through a personality change after surgery from coronary problems. I remember my boss saying she felt like ‘they cut his heart out’ when he had bypass surgery.

Well said. Irritating is one way to put it - backstabbing the father who raised her is another.

“As much as my dad adored me, it hurts to know that the man who helped create me chose to have nothing to do with my life,” said Blessing. “People are deceiving themselves if they think they can love somebody enough to make up for the person who isn’t there.”

My sympathies for the apparently very decent man who raised this woman as his own daughter. I can't imagine how he must feel after the 'daughter' he spent years caring for and raising grows up to say something this repulsively self-centered and idiotic.

People can love the people who raised them yet still yearn for their biological parent(s). It is normal, from what I have found in my own reading of others like me who did DNA testing. I have “discovered” mystery - a relative and I should match, but don’t. We are doing more testing to see what is up. There is something special about blood, that is true. I had one good parent, who died, and one who is mentally and emotionally ill. Of course, she is alive, but I love her just the same. It is hard though.

That had a “barf” after it at the end but I put brackets in that ended up hiding it...

Yes, and dishonoring all the adoptive parents around the world who did their best for the the children they took under their wings. Not to mention all the cuckolded fathers who forgave their wives indiscretions and even those men whose wives suffered the crime of rape, yet looked solemnly at the duty that God had entrusted to them, did not shirk, and still gave the child that was born they best love and care that they could because they were men who knew duty when it was given to them.

I am not saying I could be one of those men, I can’t. But I know there are many men who have stepped up, have accepted those burdens, and they deserve honor because of it.

“She had never suffered from depression before, and her husband, an evangelical pastor...”

A Christian should understand the concept of adoption! Everyone who has surrendered to Christ and is born again is adopted — we get a new Father — and that adoption is better than that of natural birth. A LOT better.

Anybody can be a father, it takes a real man to be a daddy.

ya know, perhaps being a “drama queen” runs in her sperm donor’s DNA

nonetheless, this is why adopted or other non-bio children need to know the facts from birth

I guess I am the only sick on who read the headline as someone finding out their sperm donor for their child was their bio father. That would have been really gross!

This is sad to say but her father was blessed not to have been living when this ungrateful twit found out about her true provenance..

We adopted my oldest daughter from a poor neighbor who was having her children taken away.. She has always been told that her sisters came from her mommy’s tummy but she came from her daddy’s heart..

All of the kids understood and joked about it, but knew it was real.. She is still her daddy’s girl..

I’m a bit confused why everyone is piling on this woman. Taking just the first line or so, yep, she sounds like an ungrateful woman. If you read the entire article, it lays it all out.

It’s tragic that men and women are ‘donating’ their procreation ability for 10K with NO regulation whatsoever.

I find it tragic, what with millions of children needing homes. It is an ‘industry’ that is out of control and the effects on this children shouldn’t be overlooked.

Thank you for posting this article. Once upon a time, my doctor suggested an egg donor, um, NO. If God intended us to have more children naturally, we would have. Just never been a fan of this practice. Now I am learning the life long effects of this.

“It’s tragic that men and women are ‘donating’ their procreation ability for 10K with NO regulation whatsoever.”

Hence my quote from Jurassic Park “No this is how you play God”.

Notice they keep playing God till they build a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
