I have been using Linux Ubuntu since the old HDD crashed and burned. I have an opportunity to install Windows 7 Home Premium.

I can always put Linux Ubuntu on a USB and use when I feel like, I think. Does this sound like a good option?

On a personal level, I would never run Windows, so I cannot say yes. However, if that is what meets your needs, then I say go for it.

My personal solution would be to install Linux on the it, and run Windows as a VM.
