God is pretty amazing to fill every niche for life. Also lots of the huge anthills in that area. (5 or 6 feet across and 18 inches high)
Every niche is right. I was lying on my back resting next to a campfire one time and near my head was a Juniper bush. I just happened to notice a spot on a Juniper needle that was a slightly different shade of green ... and it moved. Looking closer I saw that it was a tiny spider. It had to be less than a 1/16th of an inch in diameter. A spider adapted to live only on Juniper needles. Whatever it is that they hunt must be too small to see with the naked eye. Amazing!
