yep. i use to respond to most petitions. called many a congressman. today? i am so so.tired. i know thats the plan but i cant help.skipping over the calls to action.
i read headlines that a few years ago would get me going.
today i just read it and move on.
i truly believe we have entered into the twilight zone.
its so hard to remain hopeful. people like cruz and a few others keep a flicker of hope alive.
all i do now is pray prep and practice at the range.
Remember, we are the folks who act proper and are patient as we wait for the next election. And that means having to accept things we can’t do nothing about, and that’s probably what makes us tired of it all.
Especially as we watch Boehner going along with Democrat agenda, he’s been hard to support since he agreed to the debt ceiling deal. Now Sequester, Democrats got their tax increase yet didn’t have to do any cuts, and when the Sequester went through, those tax cut should have been rescinded, for economics sake John!
Now go back to enjoying your life as you see fit!

i think thats when hope faded. when i watch people that i believed in campaigned for, donated to... fail.
Karl Rove was my first huge revelation. OMG He is NOT one of us. then came bondi scott and rubio. then i watch us “win” only to have one rogue judge reverse it. and last of all john roberts. what a punch in the gut that was.
Oh yeah, I handed the local Republican running for the House the winning conservative script and he choose to be nice guy instead, I even followed up with a ‘what the hell is wrong with you’ when he played a ‘no comment’ to the press instead of attacking the ill judgement of his Democrat opponent. I’m going to do my part, but I can’t and will no longer think for them.
(And when I read your tag line before I typing this I knew you have the instinct to get through these times when it is hard to even hear the headlines because you know stupid is winning the day.) Ditto’s! The Lord enlightens me when he thinks it’s time!
