I was just talking to my SIL and her parents live in Smithville, TN, and her mom saw a RATTLESNAKE out by their shed yesterday! she had to wait him out, and then when her husband got home, he wanted to shoot it, but it was gone. I would never leave the house again! who knew there were rattlers in TN? and i asked how she knew what it was and xsSIL said it was RATTLING!

Oh yes, we have all kinds of wildlife here. I have fished snakes out of the pool and although I appreciate them eating rodents, I'd rather not see them. I really don't like the poisonous ones but the bright green grass snakes are very pretty.

We have lotsa snakes in TN, but only the copperheads, cottonmouths and rattlers are dangerous. It’s illegal to kill a snake in TN. Go figure. If I had a rattler around here, my serenity would fly right out the window.

Yikes! We have had garden snakes here but never a rattler - of course my husband wouldn’t be scared but I’m like you - I wouldn’t leave the house until it was found!
