Dell is what I use for all of the hospital PACS workstations I
administer. They are well made and have a better than 99.9%
up time. Dell is a good choice especially for those who are
less inclined to “tinker under the hood” of computers.
Count me in as one who is not inclined to tinker under the hood . I use the PC for basic stuff only ; no gaming , etc...I am going to order a Dell tonight when the wife gets home as we’ll be ordering via the Dell Japan site . Thanks to you and all for the many replies . Freepers rule !
If you are doing a desktop, then you should just build your own. It doesn’t take a technological genius to do so.
You get better components and you can optimize it to do what you want it to do. Dollar for dollar (or in your case, yen for yen), you also save money...a lot of it.
when I decided it would be cold day in hell before I ever got another HP, I researched what laptop lasts the longest. Lenovo won, although once I learned it was Chinese (after the purchase) I was a little concerned. But it has been great and there are some really cool models.
I paid big bucks for a McBook Pro for my kid beginning college and two years later it is dead. But he went to MicroCenter and bought the components for and constructed his own PC for gaming............
Thanks, I note Dell sells software, but where does a Snowden type skill set get applied at Dell.
I understood Snowden worked for Government or Government related contractors.
All data was vacummed into a database, then passwords broken and information analysed.
Ordered a new computer from Dell Japan last night . Dell is probably the # 1 desktop in Japan . Sony # 1 in laptops .
