During the last presidential election we leased a small building to use as our local Republican campaign headquarters which was located next door to one of the busiest dentists offices I have ever seen. They were open six days a week from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and there was a constant stream of people all day.

One of the ladies working at the headquarters chipped a tooth and so went next door to see if they could provide some assistance. Receptionist said they only take Medicaid patients and suggested she go elsewhere.

I’m sure Texas taxpayers have made a whole lot of dentists very wealthy because of their liberal payments through the state Medicaid coverage. But it’s “for the children”...

This is a middle/upper middle class dentist practice based on its location. There weren’t a lot of ‘state paid’ children in there.

The point being, there are a few western countries that fluoridate and some that do not. There isn’t a difference between the two sets in terms of prevalence of cavities.
