Interesting.... in his book “About Face” Hackworth spent time with Marshall and had a change of opinion about him.

Hackworth was a little off center himself, we know his incredible biography, his personal history, but something was also flawed in him.

Whether or not Grossman’s analysis is correct, I always believed the most important message to come out of his works was the dangerous conditioning effect of the casual violence that pervades modern media and entertainment? I know many would deny any such link, but not everyone has the same level of intelligence nor discrimination between right and wrong?

I don’t know what Hackworth had to say. I don’t have a very high opinion of Hackworth, so I don’t pay much attention to him.
