The food IS horrible — I was driven into a classroom by the smell. Kids HATE IT. Most of it is unidentifiable. So guess what they’re bringing and eating instead? Chips, soda, candy, donuts, etc.

I think they should serve it in the White House and see how THEY like it.

“The food IS horrible”

What are the ingredients? How is it prepared? No way it should be that bad, if it is properly cooked and seasoned.

I recall that when I was in school, long, long ago, our school’s dietician, Mrs Disney, would make vegetable soup, using leftovers from the previous day’s menu, as well as fresh ingredients. We kids labeled it “garbage soup”. It was not very pleasant to look at, for children who had been raised on Campbell’s, but it tasted okay.

I haven't read anything about rat infestations around public school dumpsters, so I guess that vermin won't touch it either.

It gets the kids used to camp food. Fishhead stew...pumpkin soup...gruel.
I bet Obamas kids eat better than kids anywhere else.
