“We launched a Delta from California yesterday, supposedly our largest rocket ever. We just can’t launch people into space.”
Right, we’ve gone from manned exploration to robotic. Eventually we’ll be paying someone else to launch our satellites too. It’s an orderly shutdown of our capabilities.
Rocket engines, either liquid, solid, or hybrid, are very hungry creatures!
The next launch will be a Minotaur from Orbital Sciences on 6SEP2013 at 8:27 p.m. PDT/11:27 p.m. EDT.

SpaceX has a Falcon 9 launch on 10SEP2013 coming up.
