Exactly.
I ran it down to another puter shop and he couldn’t figure out what the hang up was. He’ll put on a new keyboard for half the price of the first shop. Yeah, I know I can probably do it myself but I want to see it done first.
Think of it like the lid of a paint can...If you can get one edge pried up with a screw driver generally the rest is easy to break free.
A couple of big “c” clamps will hold it steady while you work. Just remember to use to use light hammer strikes so the parts will go back in place mostly.
