I had a friend that was parked downwind from a water tower being spray-painted. His car was covered with little flecks of paint.

But, did you actually get it repainted? The painting contractor sent someone from this company:

The work was all done in his driveway. They washed his car thoroughly, and then removed the paint flecks with a razor blade.
