I'll throw in another vote for AVG. That's what I use. I've been using it for a while on several computers, so inertia is keeping me from changing -- there would have to be a substantial advantage, and I don't see one.

I’ve used AVG and Adaware for years. They both seem to work. I try to do due diligence as a user and haven’t had a Virus or other malware for years.
