I found this interesting. I believe the 5th & 6th fleets cover the Mediterranean Sea and the Middle East. Why are they training for riot control there?

Marines were not meant to play patty cake with tinker toy guns. We need them to know how to efficiently kill on demand.

The Marine Corps has been doing non-lethal training since the 1950s. The tools and tactics have changed, but there is still a need to prevent a crowd of people from doing what you don’t want them to do without killing them.
