Whatever his personal peccadilloes, he was/is a terrific actor. Loved him in one of his lesser-known but great roles in The Last Detail. One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest also stands out.
THE LAST DETAIL was fantastic. I was in the Navy at the time. I also loved Clifton James: “Along comes Meadows and f**ks up charity.”
