Doctors Tell Mom to Abort “Brain Dead” Baby, Mom Sues After Delivering Healthy Child

A mother in England is filing suit against a hospital where doctors told her she should have an abortion of her supposedly “brain dead” unborn baby. Sarah Hagan is now suing City Hospitals Sunderland after giving birth to a healthy child.

Hagan says that, after a 24-week ultrasound scan of her unborn baby, doctors told her that her son Aaron was “brain dead,” had just one eye and no chance of survival.

The mother of two says physicians adviser her to take an abortion drug, even though the mifepristone abortion pill is only authorized to be used to destroy the life of an unborn baby much earlier in pregnancy.

When the abortion drug didn’t work, another doctor informed Hagan her baby needed to be delivered immediately and she gave birth to Aaron, who was born at 1lb 7oz with both eyes and healthy other than the fact that he was born prematurely — which has left him with chronic lung problems he wouldn’t have had otherwise. Now Aaron is 15 months old and Hagan is taking legal action.

The London Daily Mail newspaper has more:

CLICK LIKE IF YOU’RE PRO-LIFE!

Now, the mother of two, along with partner Darren Perry, 25, has begun legal proceedings against City Hospitals Sunderland, after claiming she was told her baby’s brain had not formed properly, her only option was a termination and that her child could be born with one eye.

As a result of being born so early, Ms Hagan says Aaron, now 15-months-old, has suffered a catalogue of health problems including chronic lung issues and a cyst on the brain.

She said: ‘If I had been allowed to go longer into the pregnancy, I am sure he wouldn’t have had any of these problems.

“Now, despite being told he was brain dead, Aaron’s brain is on par with any other baby of his age.

‘Despite what they said, he was born breathing and kicking. When I look at him now, I can’t believe what almost happened because someone made a presumption from a scan.

‘I just want other mothers to know my story so that nothing like this happens again.’

Methinks it's the doctors in this case who are brain dead.

A friend of mine was pregnant with twins.

At about 7 months along, a doctor told her she needed to abort one of the babies so that the other would survive the pregnancy.

She refused and delivered two healthy, happy, normal identical boys.

Sometimes I wonder about these doctors....

Wouldn’t surprise me if the doctors were Pakis. I hear many Drs in the UK are these days.

The doctor is an ass. Babies born at seven months live all the time. My twin sons where thirty-two weeks, no problems, just very small.

Many of these baby doctors are blood thirsty hacks, they realize that a dead baby by abortion leaves the parents unable to sue for malpractice. Anything to avoid a suite, even malpractice.

Many doctors in the UK are Malthusians who believe that there are too many humans. I would bet that if you checked on those doctors you would see that they have one or two children. This woman had three which violates their world view so they wanted her to kill the baby.

The same thing is happening in the USA.

That is an interesting perspective.

Kill a twin to avoid any birth defects and thus avoid a lawsuit!

(My naive mind would never have figured that one out!)

Just....Wow.

There was a story like this over the summer a women who named the baby at 7 months went for an abortion in MD she was from New Rochelle NY. She was told of some abnormality though not what it was exactly and her and the rest of the family packed up for a road trip to kill the baby they had named and had a shower for. Both mother and child died. This is the work of the devil and liberal women who have brain washed simple women about killing their child it is fine. The father in this case should have been brought up on aiding and abetting in his unborn child’s murder.

Very few people, particularly women I hate to say, are morally and intellectually strong enough to stand up to or even question their doctor. They forget that they call it ‘Practicing’ Medicine as they are basically making an educated guess and making things up as they go along!

They are also a great deal of the Malthusians that you talk about. My doctor has four children and is a member of Doctors for life. I suggest that a person QUESTION their doctor about his advice, every time!

Sometimes I wonder about these doctors...

I no longer "wonder"... it makes perfect sense that Medical Doctors would be enrolled by our overbearing and corrupt government as tools in both their gun grabbing and data mining programs.

I will never go to the "doctor" again.

God provides.

“ultrasound” has the clarity of a crystal ball covered in snot and about the same accuracy.

A whole lot of guessing goes on while “interpreting” those images and I would not be surprised if a Ouija board is involved.

Most obstetrical USs have the quality of a crystal ball covered in snot, but imaging technology has gone way, way beyond that. Some of the images are tremendously detailed and gorgeous as well as being highly informative (which is why the abortion advocates don't want pregnant women to see them). Others can clearly visualize blood flow patterns. The data that can be collected is amazing and the technology is widely available.

There is absolutely no excuse for a disaster like this to take place, except for the restrictions on technology and expenditures that are rampant in the National Health Service and will soon be prevalent here.

“Anything to avoid a suite,”

I prefer them. Better than a single room!

I remember that one too. Was at LeRoy Carhart’s clinic I believe. He was never brought up on charges like Gosnell.

Thank You For That!

I might add, there are a few Retired Physicians here on FR, and I do not include them in my “annoyance” with what has been a noble profession.
