I went through the outage a few years ago here in Ohio, when the whole east coast and parts of Canada went down due to squirrels chewing on the lines....
I guess that was my wake-up call to be prepared ...and yeah...take down the grid say in NYC, LA, or Chicago life might be interesting for quite sometime.
It wont make a difference if they can shut down the grid or not.
You touch off a nuke over the US, damage or no damage, there will be mass panic and every city in the US will try to evacuate at the same time.
You get over 100 million people on the move at the same time and this country is on it’s knees.
