Two dogs were hailed as heroes today after they heard a car crash more than a mile away and went on to save the driver's life.
Dobermans Star and Storm pulled hard on their leads and dragged along their owners, who did not hear the smash in rural Shropshire.
Sam and Emily Lewis followed their pets and they found a woman driver trapped in an overturned car in a country lane.

Doggie ping
Not surprised.
My camera videos show the boy getting up to wait in the window while I’m still a mile and half away, just coming over the top of the mountain.
Seven drops her toy and runs to the back door 5 minutes before her daddy comes in from the shop.
He must put away/clean up things in a particular order and she’s learned to listen for it, whatever it is.
Spooky dogs.
Our family dogs can hear my nephew’s car turning onto an access road and heading home a mile away. Of course it doesn’t have a muffler, so that helps them ID the vehicle.
A 240Z (1972) without a muffler is VERY distinctive!
It must be how they know to cease all attempted maulings as well.
“No! Not now! We’ll only have more witnesses. Just wait until we get her alone again.”
Seriously, dogs are amazing, wonderful creatures. Truly a gift from God. I would not be surprised if The Lord directly commanded the dobermans to lead their owner to the crash site.
LOL!
I recently found this:

Coming in at #7:
Dobermann
Known to be one of the most aggressive breeds of dogs ever, the Doberman Pinscher was one of the most recognizable dog breeds as they were used extensively as guard dogs.
They were bred for the specific purpose of guarding their masters, and thus had to be aggressive but also intelligent.
Trained properly, these dogs can become very loyal to their masters, but aggressive towards perceived threats to their owners.
***Being responsible for 9 fatalities, most of these were notably in defense of their owners.***
So I’m not seeing the problem, here.
:)
My Doberman was quietly lying in bed upstairs one morning and suddenly jumped out of bed barking and growling and ran downstairs to the windows. I had heard nothing but he had detected a person innocently walking down the sidewalk through the walls of the house, with all windows closed, from approximately 70-100 yards away and he immediately and aggressively acted on it. That’s when I realized just how awesome Dobermans are.
God has sent me Dobes so I totally agree.
LOLOL!
Hasn’t happened yet...but....
;D
Uber dog.
:)
Dobies are really neat dogs...I once had one. Above is Lambchop, AKA booboo....One of my beautiful daughters, seen here in one of her more playful moments.
Dogs hearing and smelling amaze me.
I had an unfixed female. When I walked her, dogs in houses could smell her though the walls with the windows closed, in one second flat.
My Yorkie runs to the doctor when she hears the UPS truck before it ever passes the house. She can hear that engine and identify it immediately.
She charged to the back door yesterday and I looked and there was a squirrel trying to get one of my food plants. She saved that plant.
I make no excuses for her.
She needs none.
:)
She runs to the doctor?!?
;D
Pooch Ping
Say Pooch ping three times and tell me you didn’t laugh.
