You hit the nail on the head. Has any country in world history ever pandered to and even rewarded illegal aliens (i.e., invaders who have no legal permission to be in the country) like the US is doing today? I can't think of any other.
It's axiomatic that any nation should be determining who should and who shouldn't be living and working within its borders, and the price to be exacted against those living and/or working in that nation without its consent.
In this case, the state of California is not only neglecting crime, it's rewarding it. It's long been the law and tradition that if one is to be granted consent to practice law, he or she must have a record of abiding by it.
