A man was caught on camera stabbing a dog multiple times at a Hialeah home.
A dog named Zoe is recovering after a man stabbed her multiple times in Hialeah, said the dog's owner.
Surveillance video shows the man stab the barking dog repeatedly after he jumped the fence at the owner's home on the 4200 block of East 8th Lane.
Zoe kept barking at the stranger even though she was wounded.
The dog's owner saw what happened and tried to stop the man.
"I see him reach into his waistband and pull something out and he stabbed her," Lisette Gonzalez said. "The dog chases after him and I come outside and I tell him, 'What did you do...' and I see that she has a knife sticking from her side."
Now Zoe has six stitches and had to undergo surgery to repair the muscles that were damaged by the knife.
Meanwhile, police are looking for the dog's attacker. Anyone with information is urged to call Miami-Dade CrimeStoppers at 305-471-TIPS (8477).

6 stitches is not a multiple stabbing.

In and near Hialeah, FL is a rather large concentration of people (mostly Cubans) who practice Santeria. Years ago, the FL state legislature or the city council, voted to allow them to do animal sacrifice for “religious” rituals.
So maybe the poor burglar was just looking for a holy dog to assassinate on the altar of his primitive “god.”

Santaria creeps me out, but aren’t chickens traditional?
This was no religious ceremony, this was a feral nut that was trespassing.

Yes, chickens. I was just building up a possibility that the dog attack was OK in the attackers mind because he was inured to murdering animals and watching their blood flow. A little meth, and who can really tell the dif between feathers and fur?

Yup, the 870 would only bark once. I have a 6 year-old 870. They make such great companions!
Got a cute little 357, too. They get along great.
